L. Scott Rogers, P.E., Principal

Mr. Rogers has over 28 years experience as a civil engineer, primarily in the water and wastewater treatment fields. In 1992, Mr. Rogers started Aqua Environmental Services (AES) to provide consulting to the water and wastewater treatment fields. Mr. Rogers formed AQUA Engineering with Brad Rasmussen and Craig Neeley to separate the design and engineering services away from the operations work that AES continues to provide in 1997. In 1999, they formed SKM Electrical to provide electrical and control design for their various projects as well as create a company that could provide the same services to many other firms and clients.

Mr. Rogers has been involved in the analysis, design, upgrade or operations of over 160 treatment facilities. He is well known for his ability to improve and upgrade water and wastewater systems for minimal cost. His expertise is in operations consulting, water reuse, instrumentation design, pumping systems and sludge disposal. He also was the project engineer for the first MBR facility in Utah, which project won the Grand Award for Water and Wastewater from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). Later, he was involved in the design of the Lost Creek Water System that won a Merit Award from ACEC. He has a broad knowledge of all aspects of treatment plant design including instrumentation and control.  

Before starting his own company, Mr. Rogers worked for six years with the South Davis County Sewer Improvement District as the District Engineer and three years with Rollins, Brown, and Gunnell, Inc. of Provo as a design engineer and project manager. He worked two summers as an intern with Shreeve and Associates of St. Johns, AZ, as a design engineer and surveyor and another summer for Tuscon Electric Power in high voltage tower design. During school he also worked in the water lab at BYU running chemistry on various water sources throughout Utah and all through high school he worked for a George Sohn and Associates performing surveying duties.
