The Town of Bennett retained AQUA to provide construction phase engineering services for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project. Acting as the Owner's representative the last year of the project, AQUA provided contract administration and Resident Project Representative (RPR) services to help ensure the project was constructed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
AQUA's responsibilities included reviewing contractor schedules and monitoring construction progress; conducting regular site visits and observations to identify and mitigate defective or nonconforming work; providing clarification and interpretation of contract documents; issuing field orders; evaluating and recommending change orders; responding to contractor notices and requests for information; and reviewing contractor Applications for Payment for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements. In addition to construction administration services, AQUA provided labor standards compliance support through Davis-Bacon wage rate reviews and documentation review. AQUA also conducted a comprehensive audit of the construction project to verify compliance with applicable federal, state, and contractual requirements. Through proactive oversight, effective communication, and diligent contract administration, AQUA helped facilitate successful project delivery while protecting the Town's interests throughout the construction process.
