Deer Valley East Village 1.2 MG Culinary Tank
The Deer Valley East Village 1.2-million-gallon culinary water storage tank was the first major storage facility built in the Deer Valley East Village potable water system, establishing foundational capacity and operational flexibility for early development phases. Tank volume and siting were set within the system hydraulic model so the facility would support immediate demand while allowing later expansion into higher-elevation service areas without rework.
AQUA provided structural design of the cast-in-place concrete tank and full design of the associated combined valve vault and pump station, a bunkered concrete structure set into the toe of the slope below the tank. Scope spanned structural, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation and controls, including tank level monitoring. Cathodic protection for the tank, valve vault, and metallic piping was designed from site soil-corrosivity data. AQUA provided submittal review and construction observation through completion.
Construction was sequenced around the site’s compressed snow-season construction window and constrained mountain access, limiting disturbance to the surrounding terrain.
