Deer Valley East Village Water Tank No. 2 and Pump Station
Water Tank No. 2, a 600,000-gallon buried reinforced concrete tank, extended the Deer Valley East Village potable system beyond the initial 1.2 MG service area, adding storage and a new pressure zone serving the Deer Valley East Village, Big Dutch Pete, and Hailstone Village areas. AQUA delivered the tank, valve vault, and supporting facilities as a turn-key package, sized within the system hydraulic model and supplied by Booster Pump Station No. 1 sited adjacent to the existing tank.
AQUA provided structural design of the buried, conventionally reinforced concrete tank and valve vault, along with tank-site civil design, electrical and controls, and SCADA integration that ties tank level into the existing Jordanelle Special Service District system. Permitting was carried through the Utah Division of Drinking Water, with coordination through MIDA and JSSD review. AQUA also designed the JSSD/Deer Valley East Village interconnect flow control facility governing the connection to the district transmission main.
When the tank was relocated during design, AQUA updated the hydraulic model for the revised location, re-validated storage capacity and fire flows, and revised the pump station duty point accordingly, keeping the facility consistent with the broader system. AQUA carried the work through construction observation, leak-test witnessing, and closeout.
