Water Reclamation Facility MBR Upgrade

Imperial County, California, WRF - 5 MGD ZeeWeed MBR. (2009) This facility was 100% designed and approved the California Health Department. However, there was a downturn in growth and the County was not able to get funding to build the plant. This project includes a complete water reclamation facility with all process housed inside a metal building, excluding the coarse screening and grit removal facilities. The 5 MGD facility is expandable to 15 MGD. The facility was designed to treat wastewater from the County and surrounding industrial facilities and provide recycled water as well.
Imperial City, California, WRF - 2.4 MGD ZeeWeed MBR (In Construction 2020) The City of Imperial was not able to partner with the County and construct the previously mentioned facility at the County site. Thus improvements to their existing facility were required until the larger WRF could be constructed. AQUA/WEBB designed an upgrade for the existing WRF to be expanded to a 2.4 membrane bioreactor (MBR) facility. The total project cost is $20,000,000. |
