Elk Ridge City
Water | 1MG Prestressed Concrete Storage Tank | Reservoir
|
This project was designed and constructed for Elk Ridge City, Utah in 2008-09 as part of a major water system upgrade; the prestressed design was selected over a conventional design because of the high walls (30+ ft), variable geology at the site, and the superior seismic resistance provided by a prestressed concrete shell. The tank is located on a sloped site surrounded by residential neighborhoods. Thus, AQUA’s engineers and designers paid careful attention to construction logistics and the final grading and re-vegetation aspects of the project.
