AQUA Engineering serves as the contract City Engineer for Hyrum City, Utah, which upgrades or replaces a portion of its water distribution system each year. The project for 2013 involved the replacement of 2,000 linear feet of 14” steel pipeline with AWWA C905 PVC pipeline in Hyrum Boulevard. There were a number of city and franchise utilities to accommodate in the design. AQUA worked with city staff to select the best route for the pipeline. The schedule was tight and required a very aggressive design and bidding timeline to ensure the project could be completed to minimize disruption to a nearby elementary school and ensure service to a new residential development.
