Emigration Improvement District
Water | Upper Freeze Creek Well | Groundwater Development
|
AQUA began working with the Emigration Improvement District in 2012 to establish and develop the most suitable sites in Emigration Canyon for groundwater wells and springs. Development of additional drinking water sources was paramount because EID had difficulty keeping up with water use in the summer of 2012 due to poor recharge and mechanical failure. AQUA looked at environmental compliance, permitting, land ownership and acquisition, ease and development cost to determine which projects to pursue. The project selected included a 12-inch, 1,300-foot deep, cased municipal production well, access road, pipelines, and pumping and maintenance structures.
